Course Description
Hybrid (On-demand and In-person) Training
Please contact us at info@enviroec.com to verify schedule availability for certification renewal before purchasing the course.
If you currently hold an HEP BPI Energy Auditor Certification, you are eligible to renew their certifications within 6 months of its expiration date.
We strongly urge EA Certified individuals to contact us to schedule their recertification exams as close to that 6-month date as possible to ensure availability.
There’s a lot to this whole certification renewal thing. We’re in the process of putting video modules inside this course explaining the entire process in detail to answer questions and minimize confusion. Until that’s complete, the following will have to suffice:
Renewing an active Energy Auditor certification requires candidates to take both the online (written) and the practical (field) exams. However, candidates who have at least thirty (30) qualifying* BPI Continuing Education Units (CEUs) , at the time of their certification renewal may bypass the written exam.
The Energy Auditor field exam is not able to be bypassed using BPI CEUs, and all candidates for renewing their certifications must successfully challenge the EA field exam before their certification expires. Failure to do so will require the candidate to re-submit approval to challenge the EA exams, then upon approval, successfully challenge both the EA written and field exams to regain their EA certification.
BPI HEP Energy Auditor exams (online and practical) are not allowed to be taken remotely and must be taken at an approved BPI Test Site.
*Qualifying CEUs are defined as any educational trainings/sessions that align with the Functions and Tasks (knowledge, skills, and abilities) section in the EA certification scheme handbook.
Additional information can be found at BPI’s website here.

Requirements
DON’T WAIT:
BPI requires Test Centers and Proctors to review a recent copy of the BPI Energy Auditor Approval Letter for each candidate before conducting EA exams.
Before you will be allowed to view the course material for your BPI EA certification renewal exam(s), you will be required to upload a copy of your EA Approval Letter to EEC.
A copy of this approval letter can be requested from BPI by email at HEPCertification@bpi.org.
