- Commuting more than 30 minutes during training significantly reduces your evening study time, which can directly impact your chances of passing the exams.

FAQ…

We typically schedule candidates for EA Recertification training and exams in pairs. This allows the candidates to observe, participate in, and learn from each other’s training. This also means that candidate exams often run into the evening hours. Please plan your lodging and travel arrangements accordingly.
We do our utmost to prepare students for their careers and exams, and this means that we strive to give each student the individualized attention that they need.
That said, please be aware that the class schedule is subject to change based on student needs and the time required for exams.
This info is in the pre-training checklist and the “30+ days prior” menu here. If you haven’t reviewed it please do so now.

Prepare for your Exam…
After a few (not-so-short) days of classroom and field instruction, you’ll be ready to breeze through your Energy Auditor field exam!
We’ve provided a detailed walkthrough below so you’ll know exactly what to expect. The video field guide is divided into three parts for easy viewing and should be used as a study aid. This will also give you an idea of the average field exam duration—usually about 1.5 hours from start to finish. However, you’ll have a total of 4 hours to complete the exam to accommodate any challenges you might encounter. During class, you’ll get hands-on experience using all of the equipment and performing all of the diagnostic tests yourself, and you’ll even have the opportunity to conduct a practice run yourself. Don’t worry—you’ve got this!
We understand it can feel overwhelming at first, but we’re here with you every step of the way… even after you’ve earned your certifications!
